May Wedding

John and Calsey’s wedding was at Bethany Lutheran with the reception at the DC Center. I was very excited when we did their engagement pictures. I could just tell that they fit together like a hand and a glove. Also, they were very easy in front of the camera.
Their wedding day was perfect, and so was the weather. I know I seem to talk a lot about the weather, but it can make pictures easy or a challenge. On the wedding day they were so laid back and comfortable. I think I was more tense then they were. One of the things that struck me about Calsey was her perfect skin, when I looked at the images of her, I would swear that her skin was airbrushed in Photoshop.

One of the many things that attracted me to wedding photography was the special time for families. These were two special families, and I’m sure they were key factors in the couple being so peaceful on their wedding day. One of the thing that made it special for me was they got me a flower, no kidding. I thought that was so cool, it was the only time that anyone did that for me. They made me feel like I was a guest rather than “the photographer.”

I’m so thankful that I was able to record their wedding story, and to be part of their wedding day and part of their family if only for one day.
