Beautiful wedding sunset in Omaha

Beautiful wedding sunset in Omaha

Omaha wedding Sunset
Afterglow pictures

I’ve had this idea for some time now, but this was the first time I shot one. If the reception location is not ideal or if on the wedding day the couple is running behind, would it be nice to take some sunset wedding picture the day after the wedding? The groom still has the tux and the bride is as beautiful as ever.

Afterglow pictures are photographs of the couple taken the day following the wedding day from 10 minutes before to 10 minutes after sunset. These images are ideal for romance images of the couple and of the bride alone. They also make great thank you cards.

There are many beautiful sunset locations in and around the Omaha area. I’ll be adding this as an add-on to my wedding packages. To encourage couples to take advantage of this, I’ll be offering these free for anyone booking this year and only fifty dollars extra for anyone booking next year.

These were taken on a Sunday evening/night and the couple made a small investment of twenty minutes for memories that will last a life time. If you have ANY questions please fill free to call, email or skype me, I look forward to hearing from you.

Wedding at the church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth

Plattsmouth engagement

Plattsmouth engagement

The wedding day was so beautiful. For a photographer that means that the sun is out, clear skies and it’s not too hot or too cold. As an added bonus the church was gorgeous inside and out. The inside had plenty of natural light and the outside had several nice places to take pictures.

Plus, I know I always say this but I do have the happiest clients. Everyone was so nice, the kids need not even cry during the service. The only bad thing I could say about it is I wish all my weddings were so easy.

Some fun things that happened were the groom had upgraded the brides ring set without her knowing it, as you can see in images below. Another nice thing was the reception was in the same building, so I did not have to pack and unpack. Well I hope you enjoy the images. I can’t wait for my next wedding will be at St. Patrick’s Church Of Gretna.

Dramatic, Classic, and Fun Engagement Studio Pictures

Classic engagement

Classic engagement

Last night I did some studio engagement with the couple that had their first set of engagement  taken down town about a week before Christmas (see 27 Jan posting). I had a fun time with them, what a fun couple. We started by doing one that they had requested, it’s the black and white below, then we did some classic ones, and finally we just played around (high key images).

Plus, I got to play with some of my new photography tools, and a new computer (the old one crashed). I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding; they have some GREAT ideas that will make it unique.

I have a wedding this weekend, and if the weather can hold out should be fantastic. I have some ideas that I think will be fun.

Oh, by the way I finished my Master’s degree from Bellevue University about two weeks ago.  My web sites were put on hold while I finished up my degree, so now that I’m done check my sites over the next month or two.  One will get spruced up while the other will get a face lift, tummy tuck, and flash augmentation.

Night time engagement portraits at the Gene Leahy Mall

Wednesday, 27. January 2010 23:55

I’ve been so bless to have couples that are willing to try new things. Take for example, this couple. I wanted to do some engagement portraWarm in Omahaits at night at the Gene Leahy Mall while all the Christmas lights are on. The plus side is that they would be unique and colorful and no crowds the down side is that is late, dark cold, and would be demanding on any couple.

No question about it this couple is in love! We all had fun and they never complained about the cold or my bad jokes. I’ll have to say with all the snow we got lately I just had to take some snow pictures.  I did use flashes to supplement the night light.

I’ll be doing some studio work with this couple in February. So please check back to see some more images.

Sun Set

Sun Set

I love taking engagement! I learn so much about the couple during the sessions. With this couple I learned were they met, so we made it part of their story. I’m very lucky with the couples I photograph, they all seem happy, fun, and deeply in love. If you would like to see more of this couple please check out my site.

Engagement photos

Thursday, 12. June 2008 23:06

Engagement photos are something that I view them as a pre-wedding session. The benefits are huge to the wedding pictures. With this couple, it was so nice just to spend some time with them. I know this was the first time that we spent time taking pictures together, but I felt like we were old friends. With each wedding I photograph, I can’t help but feel that glow that young couples share as they start their new lives together. I view this time with the couples as my own wedding refresher course. I can tell these two are the best of friends. Is this a great job or what?
