Yes, I've used 50mm at 1.4 and it worked fine.
The ST-E2 is used to trigger the PX transmitter which firers the jrx receiver.
I'm also using a beauty dish with a translucent cover.
The light is about 8 ft from the subject at about 1/3 power on the AB 1600.

I have wanted to use HSS for a long time because I love shooting primes at wide apertures, but often prefer strobes to reflectors. Thanks for the article.

Have you tried HSS on any faster lenses like the 50 1.4? Also, are you still getting consistent results using lenses wide open? Have you used a flash with px transmitter to fire the jrx, or only the ST-E2 as the transmitter?

I have been looking at the photos of my niece and I think they're great. You capture a lot of different emotions and people in just one photo layout. I personally have never seen this before and I really like it. Keep up the excellent work

As the father of the high school senior that had her pictures taken at looking glass photography, I have a problem. There are so many great pictures of my daughter I can't figure out which I like best. I also am going to be able to put some gas in her car with all of the money we saved. EXCELLENT JOB! I could not be more pleased with the job you have done on her photos. THANK YOU A THOUSAND TIMES.

Proud Father.

We also had a great time with Jerry. He is very laid back, funny, and obviously has a great eye to make a great picture. We can't wait to work with him again on Bridals and our Wedding! Thanks, Jerry!
